Special Event: Fall Gala

 Seminar is the capstone class that gets you ready for the real world... and it's typically a photography student's last semester at WCC.   While I still plan to take occassional classes beyond graduation, I've been giving this class my all!

This semester ends with the Fall Gala and our class has been granted special privileges to use Gallery One- WCC's own gallery.

5th Annual Art-A-Licious Festival

I participated in Adrian's Art-A-Licious Festival last weekend.  There were two stages of live music and eighty-something artists.  It was nearly double of last year's festival.  I introduced new work at this show.  The work is what I call "Industrial HDR."  HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a term used for combining multiple images from many exposures in order to get all the lighting details.  Then you pick and choose how light or dark you want certain areas of your image.  When you choose to do a black and white HDR image, you have to have a strong photo because you can't rely on color.  I like repetition, lines, and detail.  I'm good at determining which images will make strong black and white HDR photos.

Ann Arbor Street Art Fair

Next week I will be displaying my pieces at the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair.  My booth will be on the edge of the Diag near the flagpole between the Chemistry Building and Natural Science Building (see below).

The art fair hours are:

W-F:  10am-9pm (July 21-23)

Sat:   10am-6pm (July 24)
